A technology that the Michelin Group created in 1995, Michelin ZP tyres are self-supporting tyres with reinforced sidewalls that allow you to keep driving up to 50 miles at upto 50mph even when the tyre is flat.
Provides improved safety compared to standard tyres in the event of a puncture:
Safety : Control of the car can be maintained and reduces the chance of the tyre coming off the wheel in the event of a puncture. Hazardous roadside wheel changes are avoided.
Mobility : Mobility is not lost: keep driving for up to 50 miles at up to 50mph minimising journey disruption
Innovative sidewall: More robust sidewalls, reinforced with a specific rubber compound to carry the weight of the vehicle at zero pressure.
Innovative bead area: Reduced risk of unseating at zero pressure, compared with a standard tyre.
A pressure sensor linked to the dashboard warns the motorist in the event of pressure loss.
