Michelin one of the biggest manufactures of tyres in the world most people would recognise the Michelin man logo. Their tyres ultra high premium, and truly set new trends and benchmarks in terms of performance and durability. Michelin has made numerous inventions to tyres most notably the removable pneumatic tyre and the radial tyre. Michelin is a French company but operates globally and has plants all over the world producing tyres in Asia, America, and Europe. Michelin produces tyres for every kind of vehicles cars, 4x4’s trucks, earthmovers, planes and space shuttles. Michelin car tyres have a unique DNA and have the capability to perform and still be comfortable and last longer something other manufactures are still catching up on. It’s true to say they have always set the benchmark with their performance tyres recently with Pilot sport range they are miles ahead and leave other brands trailing. Michelin also claims their Energy Saver tyres can do 6000 miles more than other leading brands and because they have a low-rolling resistance it can save fuel and hence are greener. Although Michelin has conducted many tests to support their claim. On the basis of customer reviews they do get a very good score in the wear sector whether you would get 6000 miles more or how much you would save on fuel we can’t say. The one thing we can prove is that they do cost a lot more, nearly twice as much in some cases compared to a mid-range brand and nearly 50% more than any premium range brand, so on the balance they are probably costing you more per mile. However if price is not an issue for you Michelin are clear winners in every aspect.

The performance was Exhilarating obviously it had to be better than the original pilot sport, the Pilot Sport 2 had a lot to live up to.

Engergy Saver Michelin Energy saver had many new claims. Michelin claimed it could do 6000 more than it’s competitors in popular sizes. Designed for family cars including saloons, mpv’s and city cars.
