The Bridgestone D689 a true legend in the 4x4 sector. The D689 was Original fitment on many 4x4 cars it featured some of the very popular 4x4's in its time. Today's 4x4s have changed so the D689 has seen it days, not as popular as it once was. The D689 was a balanced tyre that suited road use but had some off road capability even though they were just limited. The tread pattern was favored by many 4x4 motorists as it did look the part on shoguns, and Toyota land cruisers. The close nit block pattern was a success and the fact that it would work all-season even in snow, it is for this reason the D689 is still in demand today.

Customer Comments

Had the Bridgestone D689 numerous times on my Shogun. I have tried other makes including a brand called General, and they didn't wear as well as the Bridgestone’s. Only use it on the road and some slight off roading mostly grass and gravel. I have never had any issues in terms of grip they even work in snow so it’s an ideal tyre. With other brands i have found that they are either too hardcore for off road use or mostly a road tyre. The Bridgestone D689 sits in between, the tread design is a little chunky and helps with traction off road. On road the tyre is reasonably quiet to be honest it's just as quiet as any other road tyre.
