The Pirelli Scorpion STR is for 4x4’s. The STR is for only road use 4x4’s they won’t help you gain any off-road traction. Commonly found on cars like the Rav 4’s and Landover Freelanders. The STR features a very close knit pattern, which is good for comfort and tread wear. In our opinion, the STR has some very good points one being it is bought time and time again by 4x4 drivers, so it must be doing something good. The Scorpion STR scores well in all the departments that matter dry and wet traction is high we’ve also had drives say they got good traction from this tyre in the snow. The only slight disappointment we have heard is in the wear sector but don’t let this put you off as it has varied and it still above average.
