The Pirelli Euforia the fancy name given to Pirelli Run Flat tyres or as they would write it Pirelli Eufori@. The Euforia allows you to drive at high speeds of 55 mph plus on zero pressure. The Euforia was standard fitment on many mini’s and Bmw’s. There was a time when only Pirelli and Bridgestone made the run flats, but today you can get them in even budget makes. In our opinion, the Euforia run flat has somewhat tarnished the image of Pirelli and in particular Pirelli runlet tyres. Most motorists who have used them hate them, and would never use them again. The reasons why, mostly because they have very stiff side walls which make a very uncomfortable drive. In fact, you might as well be driving on solid rubber wheels. The performance is not great either, fair grip in the dry very disappointing in the wet. Tread wear is not good either. There are not many good things you could say about this tyre apart from the fact that if you did get a puncture on the M1 or worse on a country road at least you won’t have to change the tyre on the spot. The good news is that the run flats have vastly improved even in the ride quality.
