Got a fat tyre on M1 the other day going back home to Durham, I was doing about 60mph in the second lane and next minute boom goes my tyre steering goes all jittery and car starts to pull on side. I did panicked a bit however I knew it was one of my tyres gone. Turned back on to hard shoulder and tyre was totally gone lucky i didn't damage my wheels had to put the spare on. The thing was that the tyre that blew out on me was a partly worn tyre i bought from a garage in Durham. I thought i was getting a branded tyre cheap albeit that it was used. This incident has just put me off buying part worn tyres in Durham although in the short term you may be saving money and they are obviously cheaper than new tyres the fact that they are always used and repaired or not fit for road use and sold to us to be honest we don't check the tyres I’m only ever buying new tyres from now.
